Last night I was listening to the Democratic National Convention live coverage on a number of different radio stations as Elf drove me up to coven night. Unfortunately, Hillary Clinton was about to give her speech just as we got there, so I couldn't hear it. I wanted to...I was interested in whether she intended on bringing the party together, and ( Read more... )

The feminist agenda is not about equal rights for women. It is about a socialist, anti-family political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism, and become lesbians." -- Pat Robertson

So, I'm a little confused now. Am I still practicing Pat Robertson's "feminist agenda" if I'm not supporting Hillary Clinton, but supporting Barack Obama? Oh my, have I lost my Pat Robertson "feminist agenda" card?

Oh dear.

oh, heck, you lost that a long time ago... you've stayed with Elf how long? And took some considerable trouble to *rescue* a child...

nevermind that they'd still like to barbecue you for where you were going the other night.... hmph. Over my dead body. Which they'd have to dig out of the spent cartridges.

(what was that damiana_swan said, something about the religious right's worst nightmare, an *armed and trained* bi pagan woman?)

I don't feel sorry for the delegate. *Anytime* you put your mug on national TV, nevermind saying something controversial, you're gonna get slashdotted. Any thinking individual knows this. I am disappointed that she thinks that withdrawing from the process is the way to get things done. (Nevermind that her candidate, though a viable contender in the primaries, is IMNASHO totally unelectable for reasons that have nothing to do with her gender and everything to do with her legacy.)

I tell you who I feel sorry for... you, having to dig through this mountain of stuff that isn't your fault because somebody should've known better than to go shooting their mouth off. Hillary did the right thing, finally, throwing the entirety of her public support to Obama; her supporters ought to get on the stick and do likewise, 110%, because if Obama is to win it will be *despite* any shenanigans the other side pulls with the voting machines and such... he will have to do so so overwhelmingly that not even Rupert Murdoch would believe otherwise.
