Today, Elf, Kouryou-chan, and I were going to trim the tree, put the lights around the house, and deal with family Chrismas preparation. I'm going to have a hard time dealing with it because right now I'm so mad at myself and a certain someone it will be hard to enjoy anything.

For the past week I've been preparing for Kouryou-chan's birthday party. She's turning eight on Monday, and she wanted a sleepover party with some friends with a Sonic the Hedgehog theme (because Sonic is one of her favorite television and gaming characters). Kouryou-chan has been with the Colleen Bell talent agency now for over a year. In all that time, she has not received a single job, and very few auditions for one...then again, there haven't been that many out there. My counselor has suggested several books for me, including Carol Pearson's "The Hero Within" and "Awakening The Hero Within". Reading just a couple of pages from the pages accessible online have given me the impression she is correct.

Anyone have an opinion about these two books?
