Agreed. I hate when shows try to shove a romantic relationship down my throat, especially when they try to manufacture chemistry between two characters where it just isn't happening.
For example, I'm no "Mer/Der" fan, I think their storyline is boring and overly melodramatic... but I will at least admit that their characters have chemistry.
George and Callie = sexy chemistry. George and Izzie = boring, neurotic jabbering.
