It's my uni break, and so I figured I can have a bit of time to write fic, no? Finally finished this one which is waay overdue. (sorry). Maybe will play around with a post-match fic for the Hull match?

Anyway, the fic.

I can actually read this now, although I'm glad you waited. I couldn't have read it at the time, although it's only a bit better now. I like the way it ends. And I love this line: His captain. His friend. His lover.

Oh, thank you so much for reading and commenting. I think I know what you mean. I don't think I could have read something to do with his departure at the time either (which is probably why this fic is delayed...). It's been tough on all the Xabi fans. =(

But thanks for your compliments. Of course I had to make it end on a hopeful note. =) It's not the be all and end all, this transfer. I do hope that they keep in touch (in real life) despite no longer being teammates.

Ughh, so beautifully written. I love the ensemble feel, multiple characters and such.

And so it goes. Kurt Vonnegut reference?

Thank you for reading and your comment. =) I'm glad you liked it.

Regarding Kurt Vonnegut, I must shamefully admit to having to wiki him before I could then further shamefully admit to having no clue as to who he is. x_x... so, I guess the answer is, no it's not a reference. =P

Are his books good, though? Any recommendations? (am I even talking about the same Kurt Vonnegut?)

Yeah, his books are good... weird though. Sort of classic, but not. I dunno...lol. But yeah, in one of his books (prolly the most famous) Slaughterhouse Five, which is about war, whenever he mentioned someone dying, he would always say, "And so it goes." Kind of depressing. Which this is not... xP

(if that made any sense)

OMG, I MISSED YOUR FICS!!! And I absolutely and totally loved this one.

The first part totally made me melt. I love how you wrote Steve, I totally see him that way, too, and I had to giggle when Dan said he sounded like an old grandparent seeing their grandkids for the first time in years. XDDD Shows how much Steve cares about him, and it's so adorable! Actually, all of Dan's replies are awesome, but my favourite is this one: “Shhh, the more you talk, the less you kiss.” Good point! XDDD ( ... )
