I'm sorry to hear that about the job interview. I don't know if there are more amazing applicants out there, or if companies just decide to hold off on hiring, but whatever it is it is frustrating! I hope you're able to find something soon. (And keep at it with Petsmart. Seems we've had a major overhaul of managers at work, as well as losing people to moving, so we've been hiring quite a few new people.)
So here's my silly question: If money is tight for people, and you're having trouble finding a hotel, why try to attend? Seems to me it would be better for everyone just to save up and plan ahead for next year.
Also, I'm totally blaming this on you. After I got home from our game night the other night, I pulled out my Pokémon White game to level my party some more. The very first wild Pokémon I encountered was a shiny Altaria! All your fault I even caught one! ;)
