Ever listened to some of Nobuo Uematsu's music? Granted, there (at least in the case of the games, though there're likely exceptions) aren't any lyrics--but for the purposes of playing a computer game or simply listening to music while one is doing something else... they serve quite well. Then again, tastes differ. *nods slightly*

Sometimes, a little, but I find it can actually help with cognition. Freshens the brain. I'm a distractive kind of person, yeah. If I focus on any one thing for too long, I get stale.
