Name: Farah Oersted
Fandom: Tales of Eternia
Gender: Female
Age: 17
Time Period: About a month after the end of the game.
Wing Color: Golden amber - closer to a shiny yellow than orange, though.
History: Born in Rasheans just like Reid and Keele, they are close childhood friends and grew up together. Taking in account of her selfless nature, she instantly volunteers to help Meredy upon her crash into Inferia, and even goes so far as to ditch her home village and accept banishment in order to help the girl from Celestia. [SPOILERS] Her unwavering desire to help others stem from the fact that as a child, she dared Reid and Keele both to explore the insides of Regulus Knoll, an area that was deemed off-limits to everyone by the mayor. The exploration, however, ended in disastrous failure; the children unleashed an extremely powerful evil that was once sealed within, and the monster destroyed Rasheans and claimed countless of lives in its rampage, and that included the children’s parents (the reason why both Reid and Farah are orphans). Farah, for all her life, thought that the disaster was her fault, which is why she’s willing to risk her own life anytime as long as it means helping someone else in trouble, even if later on, it is revealed that the calamity at Regulus Knoll would have been released even if the children did not go, for the seal was no longer strong enough to hold it still.
Personality: She is extremely cheerful and will help ANYONE in sight that might need help. The downside is that she acts before she thinks, which lands her well-intended actions often into trouble (she usually misunderstands the situation when she jumps in), and Reid is then left to clean up after her. Otherwise, while she does have a few skeletons in her closet, she never allows anything to drag her down, never gives up, and will always charge at anything and everything, full throttle, as long as she has the firm conviction that she is helping others and doing the right thing (also part of her strength). She can also be very stubborn, but she cares about her friends enough to listen to them even if they say something that she might not like.
Strengths: She is very optimistic, helpful, and cheery. No one can stay down near her for long; she comforts Meredy when she gets depressed about her parents, and always encourages her friends when they get doubtful of themselves. She is also a mediator: she tries to calm Reid and Keele down when they bicker, and will try to find a way to make everyone happy if something doesn’t sit well with everyone. She is also an excellent cook; Reid’s raving about food in general set aside, she is the only one who can participate in the cooking arena in Chambar. Plus, she does have quite the sense of leadership: despite Reid being the main character, Farah is the leader, for while she’s nowhere near the brains that Keele is, she’s also the one driving and cheering everyone on during their quest. Coupled with a naturally strong resolve and very supportive friends, her dedication is very hard to shatter, and once she sets onto something, she will give it everything she’s got until she reaches her goal. She is also a very skilled in battle, having trained at Regulus Dojo ever since she was a child. You've also got to hand it to her for being the first Tales heroine that fights with her hands and feet, too. :|b
Weaknesses: Despite her actions and her attitude, she is still very scared of failing those who are closest to her, or anyone whom she goes out of her way to help (so pretty much everyone; see history section). She can’t bear to see people suffer in front of her, which makes her very much a girl of action. She is, however, very rash as well, as mentioned under personality: she sometimes, maybe even often, makes matters worse by jumping in without fully understanding the situation (in Barole, when she sees a boy being bullied by an older shopkeeper and instantly jumps to his rescue; turns out the kid was a thief so maybe she shouldn’t have went all kung-fu on the shopkeeper’s ass). She’s very good-natured and easily trusting to those who help her, which might end up as a fault because it renders her naïve. That, however, only happens with Ras, though he might be the sole exception; he managed to make her flustered and trusting enough so that his betrayal deeply shakes her and destabilize her beliefs after it happens.

@ Other Tales of universe

Stahn Aileron | hotheadedidiot: One of the people who first helped her out upon her arrival to Luceti. Stahn's explanations weren't very precise, but they're both positive enough to not care - besides, she did learn things from him, and it's the thought that counts! He also seems quiet eager to eat, which is always a plus in her book. Insta bff.

Emil Castagnier | ratatosk_knight: Also one who tried helping her upon her arrival. The boy obviously has self-esteem issues despite having a strong will to fight and protect - Farah fully plans to change that if she gets to know the blonde better.

Regal Bryant | lezareno_prez: He first spoke to her at her arrival. Very nice and gentlemanly, he was very helpful in clearing up some of Luceti's major rules to her, and originally gave her the idea to bake stuff and try to feed strangers. o/ Delighted to find out that he apparently runs a bakery, she was more than happy to volunteer in helping out. Now to advertise the place...

Shirley Fennes | prayingone: A cute blonde girl that Farah first spoke to upon the former's arrival. Reserved but still adorable, they managed to find quite a few similarities between their worlds, and Farah would also be more that happy to help raise this one's self-esteem once she gets the chance.

@ Luceti universe

Angel | thesun_itburns: The first one that spoke to her upon her arrival. He was nice enough to provide her with basic information, and volunteered to come and look for her once night comes if she was still lost in the woods. She still doesn't understand how he can not eat food, but she fully intends on repaying him for his kindness - much like everyone else who talked to her when she first got to Luceti.

Lyndis | upontheplains: Farah happened to hear her while on her way to try and find a path back to the village - they arrived on the same day. Both of open, optimistic and strong nature, they hit off immediately, becoming fast friends as they trekked through the forest to the village together.

Nanako Dogima | justiceatjunes: An adorable little girl that she met upon her arrival, it was extremely endearing to have such a little one worried about her. Farah definitely plans to get to know Nanako better once she gets a chance to.

Taichi Kamiya | goggle_syndrome: They first spoke when Farah heard about Taichi's little sister going missing. Inviting him over for cookies and crepes because food always cheer people up, they hit off fast, seeing that both are very optimistic, treasure friendship, and are hard to bring down. He also explained more about the woods and the people to her, which is always helpful. He also seemed to like eating, so pretty much another insta-bff.
