Summary: Gah, I hope we don't call him ????? forever. One homunculus wakes up. Then another. Lots of questions are asked. A mun writes very bad summaries because it's four in the morning and she needs to be up at seven.

C!Envy: *blinks, coming to after having blacked out on his desk, staring around, eyes widening at the blood on his hands, slowly beginning to notice the rest of the room, memory coming back slowly* Oh... Oh gods...
?????: ::sitting cross-legged in the middle of the floor, surrounded by papers and files, looks up at him::
C!Envy: *jerks his gaze to the array in the center of the room when he hears shuffling of paper* What- You... You are awake...
?????: Yes I am.
?????: ::stands up, dusts himself off::
C!Envy: *sits up slowly, trying to straighten his clothes, which are stiff with dried blood* I- How do you feel?
?????: The same as I have since I woke up.
C!Envy: *really has no idea how to deal with this beyond the slowly crushing guilt* Alright. Are you hungry? *digs in his pocket for red stones*
?????: ::watches him dig through his pocket:: Yes.
C!Envy: *takes out some stones, holding them out to him* Here. These should make you feel better.
?????: ::grabs them quickly and puts the entire handfull in his mouth greedily::
C!Envy: *steps back, watching him in some form of fascination*
?????: ::swallows and looks at him curiously:: What?
C!Envy: No. Nothing. Ah, do you remember anything? Who I am, who you are?
?????: ::thinks for a moment:: ... No.
?????: Who are you? Who am I? Should I know?
C!Envy: *fidgets, sitting back on his desk* Ah... You can call me Envy. You are... *falters, trying to think of what to say*
?????: Envy. So you are not the one who belongs in this room.
C!Envy: You have been reading the files addressed to Colin Renfield, right?
?????: Yes, and the name is also backwards on the door.
C!Envy: ...Backwards? Oh. Ah, yes. I do not belong in this room anymore, no. I was Mr. Renfield, but things are different.
?????: You were not Envy before? ::moves to sit down in one of the chairs, stepping over his pile of papers::
C!Envy: I was. I always have been. Colin was just a temporary measure.
C!Envy: *picks at some dried blood on his hands*
?????: Why? ::continues watching him, then checks his own hands for blood::
C!Envy: *at a loss* Because... I had to. To save someone I love, actually.
?????: Hm. Is the blood from saving them?
C!Envy: *winces, trying to remember what he did with the body of the alchemist* No... No that is from a horrible mistake. *closes his eyes, gripping the edge of the desk*
?????: ::still watching him, reactionless except for curiosity:: How did I get here?
C!Envy: *opens his eyes, staring at his hands* I- I created you.
?????: ::not quite sure what that means, tilts his head at him curiously::
C!Envy: *reaching for explanations* You were created from... from... *almost whispering* My vengeance... anger... hatred. *sounding thoroughly disgusted and sick*
?????: That makes me... vengeance? Anger? Hatred?
?????: ::smiles a little... knows what those are::
C!Envy: *shakes his head, looking at his lap* Yes? I suppose so.
C!Envy: *snorts disgustedly* Choose one if you like.
?????: I only get one?
C!Envy: *looks up at him* Would you like all three? I suppose it breaks suit, but oh well. Not as if that matters now.
?????: If they are not what I am made of, what am I?
?????: There are rules for this?
C!Envy: *short humorless laugh* Good point. Not rules. More like... guidelines. I guess. Oh who am I kidding, I have never done anything like this before.
?????: Then you do not know?
C!Envy: *shakes his head* ...No. I do not. *glances at him again* Um, would you like some clothes? I have some extra, they should fit well enough for now...
?????: ::looks down at himself:: Yes.

C!Envy: *slides off his desk, stepping around the gore scattered in various places about the room and digging through a closet, finding some clothes and handing them to him* Here. Try these.
C!Envy: *thinks a moment* I do not know. I somehow do not feel that "creator" is fully accurate... But it would work if it has to, I suppose.
?????: ::takes them and starts to put them on:: Then I will call you Envy unless I have to do otherwise.
C!Envy: *nods* That is fitting enough. What would you like to be called? Any preference?
?????: ::finishes putting the clothes on, tugging at them a little, finding they are slightly too small:: If it is my preference, I would prefer not to be called at all. But I will keep the names you gave me.
C!Envy: Alright. That is fine. *watches him putting on the clothes* I am sorry, I will find you something of better fit soon.
?????: Then I am to stay with you?
C!Envy: *didn't even think about this* I suppose... Would you like to?
C!Envy: It would probably be the best idea, considering...
?????: Unless you have another purpose for me, I would prefer to stay. Until I understand more...
C!Envy: *smiles faintly* Alright. That is probably wise, yes. I will be, ah, glad to have you. You do not mind living with a third person?
?????: I do not know.
?????: I will find out.
C!Envy: *nods again* Alright. *mostly to himself*Oh, this ought to be interesting to explain to Edward....
?????: ::hears this, notes only that the person he'll be living with is named Edward::
C!Envy: *trying to work his thoughts on the subject out* Ah, my boyfriend... Edward. He is the one I became Colin to save. If that makes any sense to you.
?????: ::shakes his head::
C!Envy: *sighs* You will learn soon enough. If it is alright with you, I will leave soon and bring him back here. To meet you. But before that, do you have any questions? Anything you would like explained? I am the same as what you are, and have been for a long while, so I can answer any questions you may have...
?????: What are we? Can I leave here?
C!Envy: We are homunculus. We are the products of human transmutation. Humans like to refer to us as their "sins" but they are selfrightous to a fault. And yes, you can leave. Edward and I will take you home with us later today.

C!Envy: *blinks at him* Um...Would you like more? I have hundreds of books back at the apartment.

C!Envy: *laughs quietly* You read fast. Alright, I will find you something much more amusing back home. I cannot imagine you would have developed much of a preference yet...
?????: ::smiles a little and nods::
C!Envy: So... you really remember nothing?
?????: What should I remember?
C!Envy: *shrugs* I did not remember anything for... a long time.
?????: ::gives him a somewhat confused look... that didn't answer the question::
C!Envy: *bites his lip* ...It is too complicated to explain now. But soon enough, alright?

C!Envy: *frowns, not knowing what else to say* Are- are you still hungry? I am out of the stones, but I can bring you more when we come to get you.
?????: Yes, I am.
C!Envy: I am sorry. Can you be alright for a couple of hours?
?????: ::nods:: I can hear other people in here. Can I watch them?
C!Envy: Goodness, your senses are picking up already? Impressive. Er, you may not want to, unless it is through a window in here or something. Many people do not take kindly to being watched by strangers in their own offices. I am sorry. *laughs quietly* There is another file drawer in the back and some legal texts if you are interested in more reading material until I return.

C!Envy: *laughs a little* Thank you. I live in an apartment in a high building. There will be lots of people to watch if you like standing on the balcony.
?????: ::grins:: Good.
C!Envy: *can't help grinning back* One more thing. People- humans, I mean. They create us, but they are also afraid of us. They call us monsters and abominations, but we are no worse than they are. Do not let them make you think that they are only what they call you. We are smarter, faster, stronger, and better than almost all of them. Save one or two. *smiles to himself* Do not forget that.
?????: ::nods, mirroring his smile:: Is Edward human, or like us?
C!Envy: *self-satisfied grin* He is human. When I said "one or two", he is the one. I have yet to meet the second.
?????: I understand.
C!Envy: He is different from the rest. You will see what I mean. But if you are hungry, I should not stand around talking about him. Will you be alright on your own for half an hour?

C!Envy: *wry smile* Good point. Alright, I will go now, then, if that is okay with you. I just need to change first... *goes back to the closet, searching for more clothes*
?????: ::goes back to the papers, but continues watching him::
C!Envy: *changes, not bothering to be very modest about it, giving up on doing anything about the blood on his neck, hands, and hair* Alright, I will be back soon. Enjoy the files.

C!Envy: *nods once back, taking some money out of the back of a drawer and heading out the door to find a taxi*
