Kazier sent Ken an E-mail. "I want to talk to you. Come to what's left of Primary Village." Kaizer sent the message waiting for his response.
Ken stared at his computer screen for what seemed like hours. He didn’t know what to think of the message, or whether he should call the others or not. He picked up the phone several times, but only stood there with it held to his head as the device started to screech at him. There were pros and cons to the whole situation, and to top it off he felt that everyone else had enough problems as is.
He picked up the phone once again, starting to dial Daisuke’s number before slamming the phone down. He set his resolve and went for his computer and digivice laying next to his school books. Within seconds he was at what was once Primary Village and grimaced at the devastation around him. He clutched his digivice tightly and wrapped his arms around himself, feeling sick as he waited for his past self to appear.
The area was terrible, the buildings were all gone, all that were left were empty, ravaged Baby cradles, and fine blasted, desolate powder. "I thought you wouldn't show." Kaizer said as he walked among the ashes. "Tell me Ken, aren’t you taking this repentant sinner thing too far?" Kaizer was grinning.
Ken looked to the Kaizer quickly, a near sneer on his face. “What are you talking about?” he said, a chill running up his spine.
"I mean, a few days since you gave me up seems hardy sufficient to explain the total emotional and personality change you inflicted upon yourself. You went cold turkey in a few days. It's confusing and....irritating." Kaizer said.
Ken frowned at the Kaizer, staring at his one reflection. “You’re angry because I stopped being you so fast? Because I gave up that darkness so fast?,” He said incredulously.
Kaizer grinned. "I'm more worried about you. It's all gone Ken, you thought you could just get rid of me. And here you are, without the one thing that made you you. Me," Kaizer said.
Creasing his brows tight together, Ken’s frown deepened. “That’s not true,” he said with a softly growl.
"What I mean is you seem to have completely lost your edge. Look what I did ken." Kaizer said as he took up some of the powder and let it blow away in the wind from his hand. "I took this from them. They are afraid. I have power over them because of their fear, but you don't have that. You are just a pathetic memory now."
Ken gritted his teeth, anger boiling inside him. “I don’t want power over my friends. You’re the one that’s pathetic.”
"But what does that mean? Jesus Ken, you’ve completely lost your edge. Why are you such a wimp?" Kaizer grinned. He hit a nerve and was willing to take advantage.
“You’re a complete idiot without me behind you,” Ken said, stepping forward and waving his arms. “You’re more of a wimp than I’ll ever be. I’m not afraid to be hurt anymore.”
"I'm a god, and you are just jealous. You could have been immortal, but NO. You want to cling to love and kindness. It was a mistake to ask you to come here. Get lost before I destroy you," Kaizer said waiting for him to leave.
Ken stepped forward again, glaring at this impostor. “I’m not jealous, and you are far from being a god,” Ken said, each word laced with such hate he wanted to cry. How could he hate himself so much? Ken shook his head. This person wasn’t him-could never be him. “ Love and kindness are what someone like you would never be able to understand. Immortality doesn’t exist in a world full of scum like you.”
"Didn't you here me? I want to be alone. Get the fuck out of here before I destroy you," Kaizer said angrily.
Ken stepped forward again, only a meter separating him and the Kaizer. “You don’t have the right to demand what you want,” he said, voice strong and unwavering.
"I SAID TO GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE!" Kaizer yelled as an Armagemon appeared and charged up an attack.
Clenching his fist tightly, Ken stared at Kaizer. All he could see was red as he leaped forward and smacked the Kaizer square across the face.
Kaizer grinned as he was hit before quickly pushing Ken to the ground and rapidly whipping him repeatedly. "GET OUT OF MY WORLD! GO!" Kaizer said.
Ken gritted his teeth, forcing himself back up, even as the lashes pelted down on him again and again. “This...This..,,” Ken said as bloody gashes started to form on his body. “..isn’t...” A lash to the face caused his head to fly to the side and blood spurt our his mouth as he bit his tongue. He turned back and started forward. “isn’t...This isn’t YOUR WORLD!” But before he could hit the Kaizer again, he collapsed in a bloody and bruised mess.
Kaizer picked up some of the dust and sprinkled in onto Ken's wounds. "You’re pathetic." The Kaizer said before he rode off on his Airdramon, leaving Ken behind in the dust.
