sam, you really do write beautifully. i don't know if anyone has told you, but you do. i think i feel roughly the same way about sarasota post-d.c., post-chicago. at the same time though, i don't know what i'll do when i have to leave. i work at starbucks now and i get all the free coffee i want, so when you come back let's finally have that talk, all right?

what was that you wrote about the airports of southern maine? i'm sorry to report that they are no longer golden. the airspace in portland is quite grey, and only more so the further north you go.
