Dat 85 : Evening : On the top of a Tower

Dec 29, 2011 18:32

Hube was crouched in place. It was something he excelled at doing. He could blend into the surrounding just by standing perfectly still and watching.  It might be a disconcerting thing for someone who might be used to seeing nothing there. He was feeling a little something in the air that morning but with Nyssa offline he couldn’t do a scan ( Read more... )

Gwendal had gone to the upper regions of the castle wanting a higher vantage point to the destruction while some of his men went to investigate the destruction up close. He'd already checked the security of the passageways in the bowels of the earth and was confident in their stability.

"Damn that Julia. I'm sure she was behind this."

He had a sensation of someone being nearby and looked around briefly without successfully finding anyone. Until he looked up and noticed a shadow, but no body was visible.

"Identify yourself," Gwendal called up.

Hube looked down, his hat shading his eyes. "I am Gegenhuber." He stated firmly. He stepped easily forward, retaining his precarious position without effort. He presently appeared to have no weapons drawn.

He was almost identical to Gwendal's cousin, but his eye was not covered by an eyepatch. It was a metal piece integrated into the skin which glinted in the sunlight.

"It was very well planned," He stated, regarding the destruction. "Inferior technology, but effective."

Gwendal was glad to see Gegenhuber. He was a bit of an odd double but he was brilliant strategically and certainly knew about the power of observation.

"Indeed," Gwendal agreed with a frown looking back at the wasted section of the castle. "Destruction is always easier than creation. Did you happen to notice any unusual activities?" Gwendal asked turning back to the cyborg of a man that looked so much like his cousin. If anyone were to notice the culprits aside from his own military it would be this man.

Hube moved towards Gwendal effortlessly and was soon much closer. "I noticed activity in the garden." He stated. "After the event."

He looked down towards the damage with a grunt. "I submit that we will need to remove the stones to see if there were injuries and analyze the evidence that remains. I believe someone may be trapped underneath the rubble ..." he pointed. "There. There may be others. I can hear moans. They are faint, but they are alive."

OOC: I changed to evening, since the destruction seems to be in the evening not morning. Hope you don't mind.

The infirmary was not far from the garden, and when the wall came down, felt like the castle hospital might come down as well. The beds shifted, and a few glass bottles hit the floor, but no one was hurt, and after the initial shock, she was able to calm the two patients and her back-up healer. A soldier raced in shortly after, with news of a wall falling in the garden.

Leaving the other healer to keep the infirmary, Gisela hurried out to the fallen wall, to see Gwendal and the strange Hube already at work. A woman was already recovered from the rubble, so she knelt next to her and checked her over first. Thankfully, she didn't seem to have suffered any great damage.

A trio of soldiers came up to Gwendal. "Orders, Commander?" Midas asked ( ... )

Gisela acknowledged Gwendal with a curt nod, and waved a couple of men over to transport the woman (and her kitten) to the infirmary. There she could rest and recover, and her family would be contacted.

The healer hurried to the pile of rubble Gwendal was examining, giving Hube a wide berth (this was the man who declared a want to kill Yuuri, after all). She folded her hands over her heart and prayed they could get whoever was under there out safely.

Hube's lips curved slightly when he saw Gisela, he indeed recognized her. He stood where he was and made no aggressive movements. In fact, none of his internal weapons were activated presently ( ... )
