Round 4: IC Gwendal vs OOC Yozak

Jan 20, 2008 14:00

Gwendal was glad to see that his next match would be against a sane opponent.  Yozak had beaten the other Gisela with some impressive swordsplay so Gwendal was looking forward to matching his strengths against the man.

"We should pit our swordsmanship against one another."

Another swordfight? Well he certainly was getting his workout. At least it was better than something silly like a pillow fight though.

"It's all right with me." Yozak said with a smile, and a nod. At least, so far, he seemed more courteous than Gisela had been.

"Excellent," Gwendal said quietly as he pulled his sword out of its sheath at his hip.

"In your world you're a commander, correct?"

"Ah, so you've heard about me?" He too, unsheathed his sword.

"I try to keep abreast of everyone."

He stood in his fighting stance. "Whenever you're ready."

"I'd prefer to not face my brother and given the Maou's enebriated state I would wager that Wolfram should prove the victor."

Gwendal paused. He really didn't enjoy quitting, but he really didn't have all day to continue in the tournament. The important thing is to gauge the strength of the participants.

"However, if I just forfeit Wolfram would be quite disheartened," he muttered.

"Let's change up the rules then."

He took the tip of his sword and made a seven foot diameter circle around the two of them.

"Let us put aside our swords and the first to push the other out of the circle shall move on to the final round." He set his sword outside of the circle and took up a stance similiar to that of a sumo wrestler--sans the diaper and fat.

"Uh..." He stared at Gwendal, looking rather unsure.

"We just push each other?" He still hung onto his sword, looking hesitant.

"Yes, you latch onto the other's arms or where ever is convenient. Push, shove, drag, pull until the opponent steps out of the ring first."

"All right..." Laying his sword down, outside the circle, he then copied Gwendal's stance. "Do we say 'go', or something?"
