I know the show extremely well, and yeah. The local cast didn't do the material justice at all. But at least they could sing? If I sat in the theater with my eyes closed, I'd have enjoyed it much, much more.

Avenue Q is fantastic, as is Spelling Bee - I've seen them both, and they're just amazing. And Sweeney Todd has an all-star cast, I'm so excited. :D

I agree, the vocals were great! The visuals, not so much.

Glad to hear that Avenue Q and Spelling Bee are better. I've been meaning to see Avenue Q since its first run, but every time, academics got in the way. Won't make that mistake again. :D

Sweeney Todd starts in a couple of weeks! Though I've not heard about ticket sales yet.

So does this mean we're watching the re-run of Spelling Bee? I'll get the tickets. Haha!

I'm not all over Wendla too. I bet a lot of girls auditioned for the role--couldn't they find a better fit? If I hadn't listened to the soundtrack or watched a bootleg copy of the original Broadway version, I wouldn't appreciate/understand the story as much. Like a told my friends who were with me, I liked it, but I wouldn't watch it again.

Oh, and since you're watching Glee already, just so you know, Lea Michele (Rachel Berry) was the first Wendla :)

Looking forward to Spelling Bee though. They ran it a few times here in Manila already, and now that it's coming back again, it must be good!

I think I need to watch that bootleg. I feel like I missed out on something in the story. Same here, I don't regret watching, but I wouldn't recommend it.

I know! From your twitter. :D

I just reserved my Rent tickets! Are you watching? Did you get my DM?

Hey eula! I agree. Melchior can't dance. Although my cousin finds him handsome. I don't agree with that sentiment either. It wasn't nearly as bad as Into the Woods, though. They all were powerful singers. Together, the vocals just didn't fall together.

Mia, Rent? :) I'm looking forward to Legally Blonde too.

He isn't horrible to look at, at least. :)

I haven't heard of Into the Woods, is it also a musical?
