Demotivational

I feel sapped. I wrote a little plan of how I want to proceed with my job search, but as soon as I finished I just started wasting more time on the internet. I keep looking for jobs that I like, and they all require experience, which just gets me frustrated. Heh, I really don't know how to get out of the hole here. Every time I find an ( Read more... )

haha, I actually eat a lot of unhealthy food. Pizza, pasta and LOTSA candy :-D

well hang in there things will get better hopefully you find a job that you enjoy doing.I know from experience that loading docks is not fun at all.

thank you, i do hope a fulfilling job comes along soon. loading docks are awful. i wish i was back at the lobby where its warm and clean!

From what I hear, your frustrations are super common with students who have just graduated from undergrad studies. Heck, if it's so common there might be a business out there specifically for helping people who are in your exact situation.

Even if a job listing says it requires experience, call anyways and explain to them your situation and try to talk them into hiring you anyways and training you. It wouldn't hurt to try and I bet you will eventually get someone who says yes.

I know it's tough to keep your head up but you and Kat are resilient people and I know you'll be able to figure something out. Like I said, your guys' situation is common, and others have figured it out and made their way through it. So it'll happen, just keep at it.

thanks, i was wondering about that. it makes sense to call them and ask if experience is mandatory or substitutable, they could probably look past the fact that i dont have experience and instead look at my GPA or something.

yes it is good advice! i have to stop procrastinating ("planning" is used to disguise my procrastinating).

its so hard though... hard to find much motivation for me
