THERE'S A REASON FOR THE SEASON

Dec 27, 2004 11:21

So, even though I really hate journals, I feel like I must comment. After seeing/reading about what everyone received for Christmas it left me feeling quite disgusted. At first I did not really know why, but last night it dawned on me. I hope you people realize how selfish and self-centered you sound. What you received for Christmas, is likely ( Read more... )

I never Once said that but okay. Homosexuality is a choice plain and simple. However, that was not even the point of this post, so why you must bring it up is unbeknownst to me.

i totally agree with what you have said nate.

however polly and amber i do not

what u have said about the answers that they gave u in church is not true at all. if u really wanted to know so much you can always research urself and u will find that all of the answers u need are there. and most people in america are greedy and have to much and still they want more and more.

Im sorry that the two of you do not see in christ what others do and hopefully one day you will but it is the true way of life and thats what many people who have litlle realize.

The thing u said about homosexuals, it may not be there upbringing but it is a choice and they dont have to live that life

i don't believe that homosexuality is a choice at all. even if it was, there's absolutely nothing wrong with "living that life"--you say that like it's a horrible way to live. homosexuals don't hurt anyone, they don't try to kill and degrade heterosexuals (like heteros do to homos), they're not trying to brainwash kids into being gay. homosexuality isn't contagious. they're still people. they should be able to get married like everyone else. marriage is a celebration of love between two people. why should it only be between a man and a woman? so they can reproduce? if that's the case, why aren't old people prohibited from getting married or why isn't a sterile person prohibited from getting married? or is it only said to be between a man and a woman because of what the bible says, or what certain religions believe? if that's the case, we need to realize that america is not a theocracy ( ... )

If any of you who have questions about any of this God stuff want answers, don't hesitate to ask me. If I don't have the answers, which is highly possible, I would be more than happy to have you come to my church, which isn't Catholic so you can have a different view on things, and I will get someone who has studied far longer than I have to talk with you. We have four wonderful Pastors at my church who would be more than happy to sit down and answer any and all questions that you may have regarding the Christian Faith and why we believe what we believe. This invitation is open anytime that you may want to go! Please, do not hesitate to ask.

God Bless,
Nate

Oh, a good book to read is "The Case For Christ" by Lee Strobl. This guy works for the Chicago Sun, I believe, and he tried to disprove Christianity. Instead of disproving it, he found out that everything in the Bible is true and became a believer himself. Give it a try, you never know what you might find.

God Bless,
Nate
