My suitemate owes me money. My roommate does not. My roommate is fantastic like that.
Yes, ew, Calculus.
And because I'm a masochist. Duh.
Actually, Russian isn't that difficult once you learn how to read it, and then German is even easier -- four cases as opposed to six, etc., etc. -- plus in our alphabet + a few letters. And foreign languages are something I am not afraid to say I am possibly good at. A lot of grad schools are asking for two, now, anyway, or requiring you to have two before you graduate, or something like that.
Okay. Trying very hard to suppress the half of me that lives at the food bank but failing.
If you're not eating (or not eating much) that's NOT GOOD! Doesn't your school have any student services or anything???
I'm probably overreacting, but I've been there and life is a lot easier without.
Also... hahahaha. Sorry. Have to laugh at other people stuck taking calculus. Though calculus I isn't bad, at least if it's anything like what we consider to be calculus I. I warn you to expect to fall asleep a lot though :P
Also... what is physical science? Just wondering because we have a physical science major (which is what mine is), but no such class so I'm wondering if it's what I think or not.
It does. I just, you know, avoid going anywhere where there are people who will try to talk to me. There are enough of those in my dorm hall. It wasn't a starvation thing, it was a not-going-to-the-caf thing. <333 But thanks for caring, really!
And BAH. Maybe it's not bad for you math-science-y people, but I... Just bah. I'm bad at it. And even when I understand the concepts and theories, give me a timed test, and I guarantee I will reverse numbers when I write them. Like 4325 because 4235. Without fail.
Annnnnd it's physics and some chemistry, I think... And then we have to take Life Science, which I'm assuming covers organic chem and biology.
...people keep tempting me with shiny wonderful music. and my computer MOCKS ME because apparently it has gotten sick of my piracy habit. but I keep trying anyway, because people keep offering awesome stuff.
bah. it's going at .5 KB/sec. and it will stop somewhere between 30 and 50% in the night. I just know it will. [/rant]
uh, in other news...ew, calculus. I completely dropped calculus for music history/theory last year, and unless I change my major (not very likely), will only have to take one class of college algebra. because despite skill at math, I truly despise it.
but french rules, it truly does. the only class (besides concert and athletic bands, of course) that I'm pretty much guaranteed an A in this semester.
>_> I'm sorry! Did it ever work? That sort of sucks... Virus, maybe? Or. I don't know. I use a Mac, and nothing bad ever happens (except when it's my fault and fixable), so I never know what to say when other people have computer trouble.
And yes, yes, ew, calculus. I've already taken the math class I'm required to take, but I am considering trying to apply for a program that requires calculus.
& I love French! Or I did. I took it in high school and passed the exemption exam here, to count for the first six hours of it, so I can either continue with French or use my books & wonderful fluent grandmother to practice that and then take up German as well. Decisions, decisions!
And As are fantastic. Yes. *eyes midterm grades with apprehension*
Well, it made it to 73%. And died there. I have the idea it might be a connection thing...colleges are always trying to decrease piracy. but maybe I should do an extra virus sweep anyway, it can't hurt. and my computer has been really finicky, so I'm thinking maybe I should restart it, I think it's been a week or so. It gets so much use that it gets cranky without being rebooted every so often. right now I should be doing homework though. Homework due at 8.30 tomorrow morning, that I've been putting off all day. go me.

As to the physical science/life science... I see. Do I take it from that that your school is very much an arts school and not science?
I'm glad to hear you're not starving. You know I'm here if you have problems and food-lackage (trust me, I know the feeling)
