I was raised military, and despite my tendency to quietly 'fight the man' whatever that means, even I know that once people stop caring about those who at least try to uphold the law, we're fucked.

I'm blessed to have great cops in my neighborhood, who look out for the kids and old people. My dad was military, and a cop, so I know just what you mean.

We have wonderful cops. They come around the store every few weeks or so and ask if we're all doing good, anything to report.

That is awesome. I know that in big cities, it is getting harder to do that, but it sure is nice when it happens.

I live in Washington, where we have lost at least 5 officers in less than three months.
