Knitting is actually pretty easy to learn on the Internet! Knittinghelp.com has videos on how to do everything under the sun, and I love them. <3

Told you. I can't knit, but I crochet a lot. Maybe start there? You can also get "knitting looms" that are pretty easy to use.
