Well at least they're still trying to investigate rather than just handing out a sentance to appease everyone who thinks we're guilty. That's something.

Yea. You're right. I'm sure there are a couple people on board who might not think there is much of a difference, but there's little point in giving up the race before you've even started.

Thanks Rikku. Chocolate sounds so good right now. So does a drink but it'd be in everyone's best interest if we all remained sober.

A bit. They're Vohemaro, so honestly I was kind of expecting it. Sounds bad to say but apparently I wasn't off the mark. Nothing too bad, though.

I'm doing okay. I'm a little concerned for some of the other members though. We have a surprising number of people who are specifically sought after, or at least hiding something from the Ivonian government so they're all...nervous to say the least.

Don't worry Beat. Been through worse. We both have; and I made a promise to get through this that I plan to keep.

Just...talk to me? About something else? Till we get to Ivona there isn't much I can do so I'd rather not agonize too much over it.

I'm surprised enough that they haven't used us as scapegoats just yet.

...not to say our destination doesn't seem to hold much for us.

I am a little too, but Vohemar really does have little to gain if they immediately convicted us. Offering us as a 'peace treaty' seems much more profitable.

Still, even if they had wanted to, there seemed to be a surprising number of people who stood up for us. Enough for them to need convincing evidence we were responsible, less they incur their wrath.

Hopefully Ivona won't dig up something to pin this mess on us.

A peace treaty? Somehow I find that unlikely. They're going to want somebody to blame.

Well I think that's part of why I believe that. We've become the common enemy of Vohemar and Ivona--at least that's how things seem like they are being played out. Though Vohemar found nothing on us, they still handed us over to Ivona so they could work together to find a way to pinpoint this on us.

They do, but we must accept finite disappointment, but we must never lose infinite hope. Admittedly we've never been in a situation quite this difficult, but we've managed out of a score of sticky spots before. We'll find a way. I am sure.
