1. Pearl Jam I have to stick with -- I grew up with this band, and I know pretty much all of their songs. ♥ I've seen them in concert... six? seven? times now, and they've always been remarkable showmen.
2. Radiohead. Coldplay. U2. Sting. Outkast. You have to give it to bands that more or less redefine music (or their genre) with one fscking fantastic cd.
3. Danny Elfman. Not only was Oingo Boingo absolutely hilarious, he's also managed to make himself a style that changes and matures without becoming same ol', same ol'. (Because, d00d, when I can't tell the difference between Harry Potter and Star Wars scores? This is sad, John Williams.)
We're forgetting a lot of good bands, that amuse or relax or entertain -- Eminem, Venus Hum, Frou Frou, Gorillaz etc. 'Favorite' is such a terrible word.
