I've been thinking about Martha all day...at lunch time i pictured her sitting down to her meal served on the tray itself...i pictured it all...yes, even the creepy strip search and the doling out of the prison duds..the meeting of new friends. I was only a casual Martha watcher, so i don't know where this comes from, this interest...but it isn't a ( Read more... )

The more telling tale is that dubya only wrote ONE letter to his college newspaper...and that was an argument for allowing fraternities to continue hazing their pledges.

i feel bad for martha, because i feel bad for anyone who goes to prison who didn't commit a violent or otherwise heinous crime, especially when they have good taste in Halloween decorations.

i guess what i'm trying to say is......legalize it! oh wait, what did she go to prison for again?....

Insider trading. I'd love to know how much insider trading Bush, Cheney, et al. have been involved in. I'd also love to know how much money the Bush family and Cheney are making w/the price of oil over $50 a barrel. Didn't Bush say that they needed to open up an Alaskan wildlife reserve to drilling to increase the oil supply? Pretty soon he'll be saying that more old growth forests need to be cut so they can jack up the wood supply and help people get set up with wood stoves to help fight the cost of home heating. Anyway, Stewart - Yeah she's probably a miserable human being. But I think they went after her extra hard. I mean how many cases of insider trading get overlooked? I love how the Wall Street types get all self-righteous. "She was unethical. She screwed the shareholders." Heavens, like those greedy motherfuckers wouldn't do the same thing in a heartbeat if they thought they could get away with it. Hell, they'd probably do it if they knew they were going to get cuaght if there was enough $$ involved ( ... )

i'm very worried about the Alaskan wildlife reserve. i just think it would make more sense to try to work on developing renewable energy sources. *looking up into the sky at the sun and the wind* i'm no scientist but it seems like there should be a way!

i'm certain that there are plenty of insider traders out there going unpunished...what's a few thousand dollars when millions are probably slipping through the cracks? blah!

so how're things in Canada? :)
