Some Thoughts On Things

To be fair to the Christians, nowhere in the Bible does it say that the act of fornication is what causes everyone born to be a sinner. The only reason given is because of Adam and Eve. The movie didn't say anything about sin one way or the other. It merely acted as a springboard for my thoughts. But thanks for clearing that up; it turns out I had the wrong understanding of original sin. But even so, I resent the idea that I'm a sinner because of something someone else did. Yeah. I've always been kind of like, well, is it MY fault that the alleged first two original people screwed it up thousands of years ago, so now I have to suffer for it?

I had a similar conversation yesterday. Carrie and I were talking about PMS and having cramps (sorry, TMI?), and she said something like, "Darn you, Eve," because part of the "punishment" for eating the apple or whatever was pains in childbirth, so people have always associated That Time of the Month with childbirth and I got to thinking, how unfair is that? Homegirl ate a piece of apple, so now, for two weeks out of every month, I want to kill everyone and eat everything that doesn't walk away.

Point being, the whole thing is kind of lame.
