Name: Lust
Age: Appears to be about 20-ish, but is really around 300-400 years old - immortal.
Gender: Female
Fandom: Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
Timeline: Episode 19, just before death and after leaving Roy Mustang and Jean Havoc to bleed to death.
History: Here,'x

Character Personality: Despite being the representative virtue for her Father’s desire, Lust herself doesn’t demonstrate any signs of having an especially licentious personality and is instead shown to be more of an object of Lust when she seduces Jean Havoc, as well as proving her cunning and deceitfulness. When first introduced, she is publicized as the one influencing Father Cornello through false promises and therefore the one responsible for the multiple tragedies occurring in the region, but after he is no longer of use to her Lust swiftly disposes of him without a second of hesitation or a shred of guilt. To Lust, humans are the weak, pathetic and easily replaceable race far inferior to Homunculi. The only beings she seems to have any concern for are her fellow Homunculi and when dealing with humans her personality is capable of making dramatic changes in a very short space of time e.g. in Cornello’s case, persuasive and promising to sadistic and murderous the minute she realises the Elrics have exposed him to everyone in the village. She despises annoying people, men especially, never hesitating to annihilate them without a second thought.

In general, Lust has three main aspects in her personality. In most cases she gives off a cool, calm and composed nature, being able to easily anticipate and ensnare her victims with as little interruption as possible and calmly slaughtering anyone she sees as an obstacle or ineffective. The only remorse she is ever revealed to feel is not for all the horrific deeds she has taken part in, but for the human race and what they are. While she doesn’t understand nor relate to human beings and their valueless emotions, Lust does slightly pity them for being the helpless, fragile and emotional creatures they are. She is unfailingly loyal to her “Father” and almost every appearance in canon shows her doing something that will aid his goals.

When dealing with certain humans - in most case alchemists/the “human sacrifices” Lust exhibits her brutal yet mocking personality. Mostly seen in the conflict with Jean Havoc and Roy Mustang, which begins with her approaching the two alchemists with a mock apology to Havoc for pretending to someone she wasn’t. Though she had many chances to kill both of them, Lust chooses to toy with her prey instead, telling Mustang let his subordinate to “go cold” before his eyes. By shredding Roy’s glove and stabbing him she assumes he will just quietly bleed to death and no longer be an issue, refraining from effectively killing him herself so they can both suffer slowly rather than dying quickly and painlessly. As well as taking pleasure from toying with humans, she also tends to greatly underestimate them and their capabilities, which ultimately causes her own death at the hands of the flame alchemist. Despite underrating humans overall, she is capable of showing respect when she knows someone has defeated her. As she dies at the hands of the colonel, her final words are: "You win. I hate to admit it, but it isn't too bad to be killed by a man like you. I like those determined eyes of yours. I can't wait. The day... your eyes will be filled with agony... is right... there."

In addition, a more obscured and discrete part of her behaviour is revealed when she is around her “family”. With the exception of Greed, who she is perfectly content to watch Father destroy, Lust adapts a much more pleasant, playful and relaxed attitude. Most noticeable is her relationship with Gluttony who is treated as something between a pet and a child and although Lust’s appearances with Gluttony are limited in the canon, his reaction to seeing Roy Mustang after her death and last words being “Help me, Lust” as he is devoured by Pride show how close their relationship was and how much he trusted and relied on her.

Character Abilities: Like all Homunculi, Lust possesses immediate regenerative abilities almost to the point of immortality as well as increased speed, strength and agility and much sharper reflexes/senses. Her own unique ability is being able to extend her blade like fingernails (to a length which hasn’t been canon-ly limited) and pierce through supposedly anything, diamonds included. While the Stone inside her is vital, it is unlike a human’s organs and if removed her body will turn to dust before simply reform around it. She is one of the smarter members of the Homunculi and is especially good at deceiving and plotting, though she isn’t human prodigy-smart or anything.

Character Weaknesses: Lust’s abilities, and life-force, reside in her Philosopher’s Stone core and when the Stone runs out of power her own body disintegrates. Unlike some of her more durable family, Lust’s body itself is as easy to damage as a regular human woman’s so even if she can heal quickly it isn’t difficult to injure her. Although her capability to calculate and influence usually works to her advantage, Lust’s fatal flaw turned out to be underestimating humans and seeing them as a weaker and undeveloped race, possibly because she simply doesn’t understand them. While she could easily have finished off Roy Mustang, in her own arrogance Lust leaves him to bleed to death on the ground assuming he would no longer have the strength to live, let alone be the one to kill her.

[ WEAPON SECTION ]

Why your character should be a Weapon: As a meister it would mean she must work with and lead another, and while she has taken the leading role with other humans before, it was purely for selfish reasons and more of a manipulative partnership than the cooperative one required for the role of meister. On the other hand, being a creation of “Father” and spending a big part of her life aiding his plans, collecting information, manipulating humans etc. Lust is already accustomed and more suitable to be used as a “means” of obtaining something - in Father’s case surpassing God and in this case defeating the witches and getting out of this world. Either way, due to her own personality in looking down on humans, it’ll be hard to find someone she’s compatible with or willing to cooperate with, but I personally think she fits the position of a weapon better than a meister.

What is your character's Weapon form?: Adapting from her origin as a Homunculus, Lust’s weapon form will be a black switch blade decorated with red markings similar to the patterns on her gloves (the handle) and an Ouroboros mark on the actual blade. The special abilities are also all adapted from her original ones and include:

● Variable blade lengths that extend at will, unlike the canon these lengths will be limited, but the limit will increase as the resonance strength does. As a switch blade this will allow the bladed part of the weapon to be completely hidden and work well with assassination techniques. The blade itself it unaturally sharp and pierces through pretty much anything, when she's actually working with someone anyway. Without a partner she can cut through anything up to the solidity of a metal (something like Alphonse's armour), but only after hacking at it mutliple times, so no where near as efficient as it was before.

● Regenerative abilities that work for herself and partner only but can be extended to healing other people when resonated in a group. These won’t be effective when fatal wounds are inflicted i.e. a shot to the head or a knife through the heart, but in general: cuts, bruises and minor wounds will heal immediately while more serious damage such as broken bones, stabs and shots to non-critical areas will heal quicker than normal humans.
When this only extends to the meister, the worst of the damage will heal within minutes, but they will still need to rest for a few/several days depending on the wound.  For healing during group resonance, the status of the injury just becomes non-lethal e.g. a stab wound would stop bleeding, broken bones would knit at the weakest level, and bullet wound would close at the skin level and stop bleeding, but would by no means be healed.
The speed and extent of these abilities will amplify when resonated but mortal wounds will always be an exception. Now that she no longer has the stone, the healing comes at the price of her energy and healing larger wounds or lots of smaller ones will tire her eventually.

● Being able to choose what the bladed weapon passes through and what it cuts e.g. passing through a wardrobe but slicing up the clothes inside (fail example, I know but can’t think of anything else right now). This requires a weapon and meister to be resonated for use and can be difficult to properly control.

● Emotions and memories from the thousands of souls Lust had inside her Stone before arriving may flood into anyone she touches when in weapon form. Obviously, a sudden rush of thoughts from spirits which have been sealed for centuries while fuelling the power of killing machines won’t be pleasant. Effects for the victim could include, but aren’t limited to, nausea, vomiting, temporary immobilisation (due to shock), or maybe even passing out depending on what the target actually sees/hears.
This ability can affect the resonance between the weapon and meister if not controlled, though the length of time this takes varies depending on the meister. If she resonated with another Sin, there would be little/no effect; if her partner was someone emotionally unstable it would be far more damaging.

Partial Form: When she isn’t in her weapon form, she can turn her index finger into a blade (about 15-20cm in length). Her abnormal speed, strength and agility will be cut down so it still exceeds the abilities of the average human being, but not to the extend of her canon. She also retains around 300-400-ish years of battle experience so her reflexes and senses will be especially sharp, but only to the extent of a human who's had a lot of training throughout their (very long) lives.

[ SOUL INFORMATION ]

Soul Description: enticing, manipulative, loyal, sadistic, deceitful, lethal

Soul Appearance: Lust’s soul takes the typical soul shape of a person’s head and hair in a bloody incarnadine shade as well as emitting an odd blue glow the same colour as a human’s soul. Similarly to her appearance, the soul’s hair shape is the exact shape of her own [plus a small black Ouroboros shape positioned on the side where someone would put a hair clip - optional] and the facial expression will be a cold calculating stare with an atmosphere of indifference and danger.

Though the soul itself will be unusually small due to Lust originally being soulless being, it will give off a considerable presence partly from all human souls and Philosopher’s Stone she use to possess. More powerful meister’s who can see souls may be able to pinpoint the presence of human souls and possibly that faint bluish luminosity, but the human souls won’t actually be visibly floating around.
