Everyone seems so certain that it's theives. The box system's always scared me because it's so easy to lose data on a computer. I don't know exactly how it works but I know the stored pokemon are saved as the same kind of data. I always wondered if someone screwed up would a pokemon get ...'deleted'?

I honestly hope it's thieves, odd as it sounds. It's still awful but at least if they've been stolen there's a chance of retreival. If so many pokemon have just been lost completely...

I've heard if a trainer releases their Pokemon that they're sent to a special place to be rehoused in the wild. The thought of them being... it's terrifying.

Pokemon aren't data...

They're stored as data, though. Releasing them would be different from deleting them. They'd just...stop existing. I hope that's not what's happened.

Yeah...

Do you know what's being done about it?

Perhaps it is just a bug in the system. I would hope that a mistake is all it is.

It seems a little strange. I haven't heard of this sort of incident before. Are you unaffected?

I don't like to keep my pokemon cooped up in boxes when I have a lot of space. I'm asking my trainers to check their boxed pokemon and report anything missing to the authorities.

Even though I hope it's only a glitch, thievery can't be ruled out.

Thieves, huh?

It reminds me of the Rockets in Kanto. They would pull a stunt like this. Perhaps they've arrived in Shiko sooner than anyone's realised?

Rockets could pull this off but in greater quanties and they wouldn't take all the pokemon, just the one's they deemed worthy. This means that whoever set this up is wanting as many pokemon as possible, meaning whatever they're planning is still in it's early stages of experminenting.

Even if you didn't use the box systems, you could loose data from your information.

You know what Rockets do?

Um, I don't really use computers.

Yukio, do you think there is anychance that we can put addtional boxs in your area? That way the first one won't be so full and also poachers won't want to come near your area.

Um, aren't boxes electronic?

The Marsh really isn't the best place for anything like that.

Actually the box I'm talking about is a physical pen of sorts where the pokemon can mingle. They would be tagged for the owners, and that way they can be kept safe.

Oh. That's not a good idea. The marsh is only good for certain types of Pokemon, poachers would come because there would be plenty and trainers don't like coming here either.

Plus there's the Gastly. Not to mention the Duskulls and Haunter.

The thing is, like all computers or things electronic, the system can -and will-fall apart. And yes, something has to be done, and soon. If not there will be a lot of pokemon who won't be going home to their trainers.

We can't do anything without knowing what it is that's happened, but that takes time so I guess you're right.

By the way Yukio, I have a question. Do you know anything about the Sliph Company, or about a prize they give there called Porygon? It's a pokemon that has electronic ablities, but it's made up from the computer I think. I know you come from Lavender town...soo.....

Silph Co produces a vast range of tools. Oh Lavender Town's small. It's quiet and we rarely expanded till the radio tower was erected. All I know is Porygon are a prize in Celadon's Game Corner. They're also expensive.
