So this evening a group of 4 20ish year olds has graffitied all along the side of the house and on the garage door at the front.

This is about the 3 time in as many months this has been a problem, although it's not normally this bad.

What precisely do we pay the police for again?

Saw a police van and a couple of officers round your place about half an hour ago. Also a small crowd of sympathetic old people going through the alley.

One of the policemen hopped over your almost non-existent wall and was heading to the front door as we passed, but we assumed you were out as it was early afternoon.

davegotsu has been told that reports of graffiti are down in Selly Oak. One of the councillors is trying to encourage local council staff to report more. Dave mentioned reporting your house, but assumed you'd already done so. If you would like him to it sounds as though it's practically part of his job.

I think they already know as occasionally someone comes and cleans it, but it can't hurt to mention it again.
