I'm of the opinion that it's all just a means of sounding cool and funky. That is to say: pointless *nods* ...other than the fun you get from trying to make stupid things from the letters when you really have better things to do.

It's only time to worry when you don't understand what you're writing/saying - that's when it's a problem!
