Vonage alternative?

Well, it looks like Vonage the voice over IP phone company is having legal trouble and I fear  that it may go under. I am having persistent quality of sound issues that I keep calling about and they don't get resolved. It may be my cable router or cable service though.

Does anybody have suggestions for alternative voip phone companies they have

I have Skype and I love it! It works great anywhere - even over here. Has all the bells and whistles you'd ever want, and is super cheap. I'm sold on it!
