Title: The One Where a Character May Be a Table
Author: spooky_xphile
Rating: PG-13
Fandom: Merlin
Characters: Morgana/Leon, implied Arthur/Gwen
Notes: I think I went a little overboard on the Morgana/Leon fics as of late. Also, don't mind the title. I couldn't think of anything so I went slightly snarky.

Lady Morgana was gazing out of her bedroom window into the training field for the knights. Arthur was showing them a move he had recently invented but it still needed testing. He worked the step one by one using only himself then called someone over. She recognized the tall form with the head of light brown hair and there was the new addiction of a limp. A small grin appeared on her lips at the dare that was conducted the previous night.

In a playful mood, Sir Leon had told her that he would be able to continue training the next day even if they were together several times. Morgana demonstrated her competitive spirit, called his wager, and told him that she would be able to make him limp. There able to make it the several times which was tiring but she still could not sleep that night.

Now, she was running on fumes but the view was nice to look at. She stifled a yawn as Gwen came in with fresh flowers and arranged them in a vase. Once more, a glance went to the training yard and Morgana had an idea, “Gwen, it's a beautiful day, isn't it?”

“Yes, it's truly gorgeous in the garden.” Gwen said with her usual chipper.

Morgana quickly crossed the room and took Gwen's hand, “Let's take a walk; my turn to pick the route.”

Her friend was confused until she realized her lady was watching the knights practice. She had a feeling her lady knew about her relationship with the prince but was not aware of all the details.

When they reached the practice area, Arthur ordered a five minute break in which they needed to learn how to fight like men. The young man strode up to them while glancing behind him to see if his men had improved in the twenty seconds he had been away.

“It looks as if Camelot is well guarded against foreign invaders.” Morgana said loud enough for Arthur to hear.

“Mock all you want Morgana but we have the best of all the kings.” Arthur crossed his arms in front of his chest as if to prove his point.

“They don't seem to be in shape today.” Gwen remarked, glancing between the knight but always avoiding Arthur's gaze. “Particularly Sir Leon.”

Morgana noticed that his limp was more serious than what it appeared to be from her room. “What happened to him?” She tried to sound casual.

Arthur found the knight and waved him over. As he approached, “What happened to you again?”

Keeping his attention on Arthur, Leon spoke, “I was fixing a table for a neighbor and the poor thing fell apart while I was under it.” Morgana could not figure out how that would explain his limp but she followed along with the explanation.

“I hope you heal safely and fast, Sir Leon.” Gwen was definitely the nurturer.

“Yes, very fast,” Arthur slapped his shoulder and diverted his attention to the women, “Gwen, I would like your opinion regarding one of my weapons.”

“Of course, sire.” She responded and they walked away, leaving Morgana and Leon by themselves.

When she was confident no one would hear them, she turned to him, “So I'm a table?”

A muffled laugh escaped him. “I very well couldn't tell him the truth.”

“That you were under something last night but it wasn't a table?”

He took a step forward. “Be careful Morgana. I may reveal ourselves right here.”

“Well aren't you a wicked knight,” a coy smile played on her lips, “I may have to lock you up.”

He dipped his head and raised with a hint of lust still there, “You would enjoy that.”

“As would you. I'd make sure of it.”

Arthur was beginning again and called everyone back to attention.

“Don't come tonight.” Leon said quickly.

“Why not?”

“I'm not up to par because of your enthusiasm and I need to be able to stand tomorrow.”

Morgana noticed Arthur was growing impatient by the dawdling. “I'll come over tonight. I can take care of yo. There are activities that involve an indisposed participant such as yourself.”

He understood immediately, made a quick bow, and returned to the other knights. She gave a smug smile and was still wearing it when Gwen asked if she wanted to continue their walk. She replied in the negative and returned to her quarters, waiting impatiently for night to come.
