I was more interested in the building of the Louvre rather than the artwork in it. Too big a place to see in one short afternoon, but glad I made the trip. Some nice statues, but I've never been a fan of Italian religious oils and they do have an awful lot of them there.

we are going on thursday..i cannot wait to see the catacombs. Are youn allowed photos in there?

Yes, but lots of signs up saying 'no flash photography'. So either put your camera on maximum ISO setting and mmaximum aperture (smallest f-number) or take a torch!
