Okay, I may have squeed a little.

-I hope that a lot, and I mean a LOT, of time has passed between "Journey's End" and this. Otherwise the Doctor's huge smiley-face and general attitude of massive glee seems rather a bit out of place, don't you think? No, I haven't forgiven you yet Doctor/Russell T. Davies.

-However, the Doctor thinks he is Ebenezer Scrooge for a moment and I FLAILED. Those who don't know my utter, adoring, insane love for A Christmas Carol, well, you do now. It was a huge part of my childhood and a seminal work of my own personal canon of important works. I re-read it every year on Christmas eve. As you can imagine, "The Unquiet Dead" is one of my favorite episodes of Doctor Who.

-DAVID MORRISSEY AAAAHHH. If the two Davids don't sing together, I'll be very disappointed. It looks more and more as if this is going to be a version of the Big Finish audio, The One Doctor, which is okay with me, as long as it's done right. Russell T. Davies has no idea of the concept of "subtle" whatsoever, so I fear for a lot of the humor that was so amazing and hilarious in that audio play. Morrissey already seems to be chewing up the scenery, but as long as Tennant tones it down, it shouldn't be too bad. I hope Rosita is awesome, too, and I hope Davies doesn't keep up his yearly Christmas tradition of killing off a black person--he's done it every Christmas special. Maybe Rosita will be a new companion, or maybe both of them will, which would be kind of awesome. The "other" Doctor's "sonic screwdriver" looked like a regular screwdriver or a stick, to me, so I'm dying to see his "Tardis." It'll probably be an outhouse that he stands in and goes, "whoosh!" or maybe he found a future Doctor's Tardis or something? Somebody theorized that he is a young version of the First Doctor, but I don't think that makes sense, because Ten would still recognize him, and he would know who Ten was. He would also recognize Ten if he were a future Doctor. So, he's definitely an impostor, unless he's pretending.

-I'm kind of sick of the Doctor being alone and/or alienated from his companion in the Christmas specials. Here's hoping that next year's special features whoever the companion is going to be for this "series," and that the one after that, with the Eleventh Doctor, allows him to have his companion(s) along for the ride. I don't like the Doctor alone. My enjoyment of the show usually comes through the companions, but I've said that before.
