I have to say, I absolutely love the internet. It can be a very magical place. Especially during awards show season. Since the Screen Actors Guild Awards were only on pay-tv, I spent the morning watching a live stream of the ceremony and stalking Tumblr, GettyImages and LJ for awesomeness. Tina and Meryl together almost made my head explode. Two totally awesome ladies, looking fantastic.

I had mixed feelings about Tina's GG dress- I mean, I loved the top half of it, but the bottom half was pretty awful- so I was so glad to see her come out in something lovely. I think she looks fantastic.

Yeah, so many people despise her accent, but it really doesn't bother me, but yeah, I wouldn't have a clue what it's supposed to sound like!

They are the best fake names ever, aren't they? I think I'll call myself Moronica if I'm ever going to use a fake name anywhere.

I was so glad they won, damn. ♥ I love their ~appreciation of each other. I LOVE THOSE DORKY PHOTOS OF THEM. And I love how match-y they look in your icon.

One problem with being an Aussie, however, is that much of the dialogue in the Tracy scenes went straight over my head Hey, this. I was thinking that this episode was the first one in a long time that I'd felt I was missing jokes from because of my nationality. I didn't get the jokes about the basketballers (? ha, I can't even remember. Jack and Liz in the elevator at the start) until I read the TWoP forums. I didn't get a lot of the historical references. I mean, I still enjoyed it, but ... I wasn't ~getting everything.

I was almost overwhelmed by the number of awesome photos that came out of the SAG awards. The Tina and Alec pictures are all so fabulous- I love their silly kissy faces, and how they seem to be making their trophies kiss. SO BRILLIANTLY DORKY. I was very appreciative of how well they match as well. So cute!!!

Yeah, I really felt like I missed out on a lot of jokes. In other episodes there might be one or two jokes I miss due to my un-Americanness (totally a word!!!), but I missed heaps in this ep! I didn't get the basketballer jokes either, or any of the history ones. I thinking about it a bit, and I came to the conclusion that I'd rather be treated like I'm smart and end up missing out on a few jokes than be treated like I'm stupid and fed obvious toilet humour, like in so many sitcoms.

Anyway, Kenneth and Cerie totally made up for what I missed. They are so hilarious together!

I'm skipping the ep stuff cos I'm trying to be spoiler free...ish.
But I loved the vid + it would be so cool even if Tina did a little bit at the Oscars will Steve and Alec, how could they bypass such an opportunity?? And the pickies are great, great colour on Tina and she and Alec just look so sweet together. Also I liked seeing an unawkward interview cos usually they're so awkward but this one was fun, probably cos Alec took it all over. (ALSO I had a weird moment seeing Billy and Tina shake hands cos of a fic I wrte about them dating.Surreal.)
