I don't really get the need to rule out any potential relationship so emphatically. I would rather live in ignorance until the show ended and then be slightly disappointed at the end when nothing happened between them, because at least then I would stay excited about the possibilities right until the end. Sigh.

Yeah, exactly! Why don't they get that "will they or won't they" can be a really good thing for ratings, and for fans' enthusiasm?

It's all Alec's fault. He's the one who said "maybe" and got my hopes up.

Yeah, I really don't get it. You'd think that they'd realise how important it is to generate enthusiasm amongst fans. No one's asking them to turn the show into Bones where the relationship is the focus of the show, so I don't get why they feel they need to extinguish everything Jack/Liz-related. If they'd just not said anything on the subject, I'd have been quite happy.

True! Although Tina didn't help things when she agreed that they had sexual tension. Why build our hopes only to crush them so cruelly?

I know, the "sexual tension" thing had gotten my hopes up too. That made me think that a relationship was possible at the very end, since then it wouldn't take over the show. But lately, it's like people are crazy for even imagining sexual chemistry at all.

I too was hoping for a end-of-series hook up, but now I'm super-pessimistic about anything happening at all. Like you said, I don't get why people suddenly think that Jack/Liz is such a freaky idea. There have been so many moments demonstrating their potential to be more than friends, but even the writers now seem to be denying it.

I hate when that happens, it seems really stupid too, because you piss off one set of fans and shoot yourself in the foot if you decide to change your mind which will then piss of a whole other set off fans.

The writers of TBBT are constantly doing the same with the Sheldon/Penny ship, okay so it's never gonna happen, you don't have to go so far out of your way to say it, let me have my delusion till the series ends. If it doesn't happen it doesn't happen.

Exactly! Why take the risk of upsetting anyone? It'll annoy so many people, including me to some degree, if they turn around and get them together in the last ever episode. It just doesn't make sense.

Yeah, I don't watch the show, but I've seen people complain about it before, and the whole thing seems so stupid. Why bother saying anything against the ship in the first place? Most fans are happy clinging onto the vague hope that one day something might happen, so why upset everyone? It just seems so pointless and, in a way, counter-productive. The whole point of doing interviews is to try and get people to watch the show, so why risk losing viewers through unnecessary comments?

Same here.

It's just so much nicer living with the hope that eventually it'll all work out. I feel a little less enthusiastic about the show in general now, which is a bummer, because comedically it's hitting its stride again. Why crush our hopes, Tina? Why so cruel?

I do feel that way, too, sort of. I mean, it's still my favorite show and the thing I'm most excited to watch every week, but the Jack/Liz-ness does really enhance my geeky fannish enjoyment of it.

Awww ♥ Thank you so much bb, that's so sweet! *hugs* I love you and once I finally get this whole school-thing through with I really hope I'll be able to talk to you much more often again. :D

Also, thanks for posting that A2A clip - I hadn't even seen it yet! I am so excited for it to start again \o/ It will be EPIC. It's obvious.

And ugh, I hate it when shows do that! If something isn't going to happen, fine, it won't, but going out of your way to say it is just plain irritating and very off-putting. And also rather risky, when dealing with a large fandom. |: I'm really sorry hon. *cuddles* From the little I've seen from the show they seemed a brilliant pairing so it's beyond me why they won't even consider it anyway >>

First, I'm so sorry it's taken me so long to reply to this comment! I do hope things are getting better for you. I can't wait to talk to you more often! I miss our epic commenting. ♥

Everything about this series looks so damn amazing. If it were any other show, I'd be worried about expecting too much, but seriously, I think there's no doubt that it's going to be brilliant.

It's so stupid and irrational and so, so mean to the fans! It just dampens my enthusiasm for the show, which really sucks. *cuddles back* As for Jack and Liz, they're pretty much perfect for each other, and it's not like it's one of those fan-invented ships where that have no basis in reality- there have been zillions of shippy moments in the show- but for some reason, the writers keep insisting that it's not there.

Even with all that, you should watch more of 30 Rock one day! It really is a brilliant show.

Don't worry about it! I tend to forget replying altogether so uhm >> Yeah. I won't ever have a right to complain about these sort of things. :D ♥ But yeah, I've been slightly better, thanks! We've actually just adopted a new cat, which is... strange, but he's a doll and hopefully we can take him home from the shelter soon. We haven't got a name for him though so uhm, that'll be interesting. *coughs*

But yes! I mean, I'm still scared they're going to do something I won't like, but I also feel like whatever they end up doing, at least it'll be good, if not entirely what I'd want, so that's a really great feeling. :D Also, did you see the OST yet? IT LOOKS AMAZING.

Aww, yeah, I totally understand bb. D: Hell, I've only seen three episodes and I thought it was obvious, so it's so weird they don't even want to think about it. Show writers are crazy people. *sighs* I might still watch it someday! I have about thirty other shows I need to watch as well though so it's hard to tell when x__x If it were being aired here right now it'd be ( ... )

2 WEEKS SEEMS LIKE SUCH A LONG TIME! I want it now!!!

IKR? It makes no sense at all! Tyra's craziness is just so brilliant, and the show overall is just wonderfully ridiculous. I ♥ it, not gonna lie!
