[Many thoughts filled Ritsuka's head as he hurriedly made his way to Smoker's Task Force Headquarters; from Caim's reluctant answers and Smoker's curt responses, he wondered what could possibly await him there, but never expected to be met by the warm, bloody rain that overtook him halfway. He let out a yell as the downpour began in earnest, and tried to run, but his legs still hadn't gained back their regular strength, the stiffness in his knees slowing him considerably. By the time he finally reached the Task Force warehouse, his clothes had been soaked through, smears of blood coating his pale skin, his hair and second set of ears plastered to his head and dripping with the stuff.

He really hoped Smoker had some extra clothes in there.

The rain was starting to let up a little, a cloud of red-orange mist rolling in in its wake, when Ritsuka knocked on the warehouse door, his knuckles leaving small red stains on the wood.
