First time falling
Hashimoto, Totsuka, Tsukada

The first time Hasshi falls, he's so embarrassed about it that he stays face down on the ground instead of getting up as he should. He can hear Tsukada flapping about worriedly, and Tottsu shouting as he makes his way down from the tightropes a billion feet up in the air, and one of the water boys has taken off running to get ringmaster Takizawa. Hasshi feels bad for causing everybody undue concern, but even this knowledge can't bring him to do anything more than give a moan of mortification, face planted firmly in the dirt.
"Hasshi!" cries Tsukada, and there's a heavy sound like he's dropped to his knees beside Hasshi, "Tottsu, he's still alive! Hasshi, can you hear me? Are you okay? I'm going to turn you over, okay? I'm sorry if it hurts you but-"
"Don't!" Hasshi squeaks, scrabbling blindly with one hand to grab hold of Tsukada's arm. "'m fine. I promise. No broken bones."
"Then why aren't you getting up!?" Tsukada's voice goes an octave higher in his panic and bewilderment.
Hasshi wriggles a little, hopes that’s an appropriate response.
"Hasshi!" It's Tottsu's voice now, and Hasshi can feel his footsteps reverberate through the ground as he runs towards them.
Now Tottsu is plopping onto the ground next to him; now Tottsu is reaching over to try and turn him over too. Hasshi gives up trying to play dead and instead rolls himself into a ball, wrapping his arms around his own knees and tucking his face away from sight.
"Ryosuke," Tottsu tries again, coaxingly this time.
And it's this - Tottsu calling him by his first name, like he's been wanting to hear ever since he'd met the man, in that gentle, concerned voice - that makes Hasshi slowly, reluctantly unfold himself with a pout.
"Ryosuke, what-"
"...I'm just so embarrassed!" Hasshi wails, casting himself dramatically face down into the ground again. "I wanted to prove to you guys that I could do it so much!"
(There’s a snort of laughter from a new direction, and Hasshi looks up to see Goseki-sama standing next to the ringmaster, the two of them apparently having newly arrived at the scene.
Hasshi pouts again, harder.)
