I know this is pretty much a dead community, but I need some exercising/dieting tips.So I'm pretty upset about my weight (like I wasn't before or anything lol), but the circumstances are a little bit different. So probably like 3-4 months ago, I got my first doctor's visit in a long time for some shots, but they also tested my blood. They said I ( Read more... )

Something that I've been doing is mixing Chia Seeds to low fat low sugar yogurt or mixing it in water. Chia seeds apparently help suppress your appetite, it expands in your stomach to make you fuller more faster. I've lost about 10 pounds since I've started last month and i feel great. They are pretty pricey, however. Flax and Sesame is an alternative ( ... )

Well in all honesty, I can eat veggies like broccoli and spinach and the like, but sometimes I get sick of the taste after I eat a bit of it, so I guess it does pertain to how it's prepared.

I'm sorry, I must've made out my family to be evil or something when I said "controlling". When I say controlling, I mean I have no say in what is being served, and they won't really listen to what I would have to say or else the person who cooks (my dad, a scary man) gets really offended. My family eats traditional Vietnamese food, so like Pho, spring rolls, lots of seafood (which is a good thing, aside the shellfish), so I'm not saying we're entirely unhealthy. I would probably only say the most unhealthy thing our family does is over-serve our rice and they've become accustomed to the fact that me and my sister don't "voluntarily" eat vegetables, again because of how it's cooked, so they've stopped cooking it altogether and basically just let us eat our grains and protein for dinner.

i'm not on a diet, but i'm trying a healthy lifestyle. because i need something to equal out my insane amount of coffee and cigarettes.

ANYWAYS...

we have a treadmill that i walk on for 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week. i have it set at 6 for an incline and 2.6 mph.

i am a carbs freak, so i can't give those up... but i have stopped drinking soda, cut my milk from whole to skim... portion my lunch and dinner... always bring healthy options for lunch at work like soups and small sandwiches. and allow a cheat day where i get to eat fries for lunch.

you don't want to shock your system by going from what you eat now to like... nothingness. just cut out the bad and replace with good.

download myfitnesspal on your phone, it helps with counting calories, scan things you eat to see what they have in it(eat the amount it tells you, dont go lower than what it says, it can really fuck you up). avoid fast food, subway also, its a better option but not an overall healthy one. try and stick to unprocessed foods although its ok to eat them, depending on what they are (spaghetti, etc) DONT STARVE yourself as well, it will have the opposite effect, this one time i was sooooooo bogged in homework i had one bite of pie for the entire day, staved the rest of the day because i was swamped in work, got home and ate kfc coz i was too tired to make dinner and BAM next day i weighed myself and i gained 2 kgs ( ... )

I've lost 12kg in 3-4 weeks, but it wasn't really safe tbqh.
I've been on copenhagen diet and lost 10kg and after that I just didn't feel like eating sweets or anything fat or unhealthy for really long time.
but really this diet is not for everyone, after 7th day (when you eat one meal) I has puking all night, even if i drank a gulp of water, in a metter of seconds it was all out... but my parents supported me so I continued with it. But I had nosebleeds everyday after... So yeah, definately not recommending, but well... it worked. It's not much of a diet to lose weight, but to change your metabolism and I'm really happy that in the end I sticked to it, because I havent gained weight ever since even if I eat whatever I want (fastfood, sweets, you name it).
Even if it's hell during those 13 days I'm thinking of doing it again. There's still 20kg to lose to have a dream weight :(

oh, also this site is amazing to keep track of what you eat, how many calories it is and how much you exercise. It's the best from all I've tried. Whenever I ( ... )
