I feel like I don't understand what "in support of the project's artistic quality". It doesn't seem like a FUND (like an Actors Fund) but is it implying that to make sure that the film is filmed with the right artistic view he isn't going to be paid for the project?
Would that imply that the cost to cast him would be too high and this company's movie budget is so low that they can't afford to do both? But its HIS agency??
I don't know if I'm overthinking this or if it doesn't make sense ... I wonder if he's being paid out in shares (even if its his own agency) or like something else, because it feels REAL silly to film a movie and get NO money out of it. What about the residuals if it does really well?
I feel like I'm left with more questions than anything else LOL
If it wasn't a project from his own company, I would have been like wow that's cool. But since it's his own company in also a bit suss about the motivation and where there are other benefits he is getting. No pay announcement generates headlines.
But seriously, that's...a choice. Also, it says it's starring BIBI, so it this actually happening? I remember a headline earlier that she had to pull out of an acting project, I guess not this one. I hope they at least run her her check.
