They have called this day the Eleventh of March! And whomsoever of you gets through this day, unless you are shot in the head or somehow slain, you will stand at tiptoe when e'er you hear the name again, and you will get excited at the name March the Eleventh ( Read more... )

I, uh, vote no on the restaurant plan. I don't have that kind of money. (read: any)

I'm hoping Ciaan can put up a poll and we'll figure out what's up. I'm out for hosting because the thought of vacuuming my house while hacking up a lung makes me whimper, and at this point I'm sick enough that even planning on attending something is a bad idea. I'm barely managing to function, so the whole who-can-do-what negotiating is not really a task I can take on.

I mean, if it's just a poll we're waiting on, I can do that. But restauranting is not the same as Game Night. Game Night is potluck and/or free (with the exception of the new pool for alcohol). Restaurant hopping is insanely not.

I'm stucking 'hiding' in my room because I don't like socializing with any of the people at Skiffy Night. I would really like to have my Game Night.

Then somebody should figure out Game Night. But not me. I got asked if I'd been to the hospital yet by a coworker today, and she wasn't at all kidding.

I am too sick to care right now.

I vote yes on the restaurant plan, if nobody turns up to host. Otherwise, I also vote for the 20th for Games Night. Because the weekend after I'll be off Quakering.

. . . I and the rest of the Frederick crowd are probably not useful answers on hosting, though.

I'm hoping C can put up a poll and make it official, so that we've got something firm to plan for.

I vote people come to my restaurant idea!

I could offer my house for hosting, but since I'll be working until 4pm on Saturdays, Games Night would have to start later.

I like the restaurant idea, but could you maybe put up a poll with your hosting dates and the restaurant idea as an option? I suspect that the majority is going to go for restaurant-hopping, but that would make it more of a group decision, I guess. If not, maybe Set or Mouse could run the poll, since I'm not having much luck with coherence this week. (This comment has taken me three tries, and I still think I may be missing some modifiers somewhere.)

OK, for the most part. Life is, ehhh*shrug*... dullsville for the most part. Work blows huge ass chunks, but otherwise, it's OK. The weather is finally turning nice and there is baseball on my TV again, so things are looking up.

Sorry to hear you have been so sick :( *feeds you lots of chicken soup and crackers*
