Only a week late; I think maybe I'm getting better at this.

Fifty one pictures is TOTALLY REASONABLE. Probably.

Planes, pilots, paratroopers, and a flamethrower. )

They're GORGEOUS, right? I love airshows in general, and this one in particular.

(My hair was a disaster all weekend. Eventually I just gave up, because pincurls were never intended to survive wind and rain. But hey, at least I have cute hats?)

*g* The seersucker suit is from the period, so it's a one-off; I think I found it in 2010 at one of the Reading shops. It's fantastic, but I'm always terrified I'm going to ruin it somehow.

The others (along with all of last year's) I get from Time Machine Vintage (http://www.etsy.com/shop/timemachinevintage), because a) Kim makes really beautiful clothes, b) she has all my measurements and custom-fits the dresses, and c) she actually likes to go find things that she hasn't sewn before, and make them so that I have outfits other people don't. She's sort of my favorite. I actually need to email her with this year's photos and find out what we can put together new for next year; I think I've been through all the summer-weight outfits I own over the last two years.

And if I could just find a decent vintage handbag and a place that had period shoes in my size, I'd be all set.

There are perks to being married to a guy who's been shooting photos for 30 years, you know? (A few at the end are actually S's, because he's much better at shooting things that don't fly than I am. Or at least better at noticing that those things exist. Whereas I recognize that there are other people around, but unless there's a tank about to run me down, I don't usually remember to snap a picture.)

Meeting Bill Guarnere was HILARIOUS. In part because apparently he has a broken collarbone, and his family (his son, I think, is who we talked to) managed to get him to put the sling on, but they couldn't make him USE it. He just wore it around his neck and continued to gesture with both arms. And I wasn't planning to get a picture with him, but they insisted? IDK, it's a little bit of a blur, honestly.

I *did* have a little parasol. And then the wind ate it, and I mostly had a wet head. But still. AIRSHOW.
