Holidays. Boy, I dunno.

So I had awesome plans with Sansets for today, and then I was in two car accidents in two days. And now I just sort of want it not to be 2012 anymore.

HOWEVER. As I settle down in front of a marathon of Scottish!007 with my coffee and two weeks of work I didn't do when I should have for reasons of I could explain how crazy my family holidays are ( Read more... )

And I'm amazed LJ let me comment. Happy New Year, hon.

Yeah, after the first one I was upset, and after the second--we got hit at a toll booth in the brand new car they'd dropped off to replace the first one on Sunday afternoon--I just sort of gave up on this whole travel thing. Even S was like, "Are you KIDDING me?" Maybe I'll have better luck next month?

Anyway! Happy New Year, and good wishes for 2013 to you and yours!

(What is up with the comments? I've been trying all day, and haven't managed to get one to post until this one.)

This is why I ride a bike. (Well, okay, it's not. But it could be.)

Yeah, not really my idea of a good time. But we did have insurance, and the rental company replaced the first car so that we weren't stuck in Ohio, and there weren't any broken bones, just wrenched joints and bruises. So I'm counting a not-lose situation. It's almost like a win, except not.

It's like winning, just without any of the... you know, awesome parts.

Still, I'm really glad it wasn't more of a lose than it was. Try to spend a couple of days being nice to your joints and taking it easy, and I am glad you got home.

AHAHAHAHA. Um. I mean, yes, of course I have time to spend a couple of days not running around like an idiot and trying to catch up with work that will never ever be finished. And stuff.

(It's a nice thought, it really is, and I'm glad to be home, too. I just--don't even remember what taking it easy would be like, at this point. I'm not sure I'd be able to do it, even if I did have free time. Is all. *shrugs*)
