Many of the CSA farms have stands at the baltimore farmers market - and the bonus there is that you get to pick what veggies you buy. I definitely want to come up there one weekend when it's open.
It's community supported agriculture - You can learn more about it here: http://www.localharvest.org/csa/ but basically you buy a "share"of vegetables from a local farm at the beginning of the planting season and then theygive you a box of veggies once a week during the growing season. Most CSAs are organic farms that use sustainable farming practices. Here's the post I made when I was signing up - it's got a bit more info on it - http://omphaloskepsis.livejournal.com/49696.html
Yay! I can't wait to see your weekly haul. Oh and last night I discovered you could roast radishes with some olive oil and salt and they are fantastic! I'm not a big fan of raw radishes but now I know I really like them roasted. :)
I know what you can do with the Mint! And Shawn and I will be over there this weekend to help mix it up for you. If Fred (or you) can just make a simple syrup, we'll provide the bourbon!
It was awesome to see you as well! Thank you for the lovely compliment. I love being a designer, I just wish that my day to day designing wasn't so, er, deadening. =) It was great to shoot the shit. =)
