i just re-read two months of my journal.

may 9, 2002 to july 16, 2002.

may 9 is the day dad got the news that he had a "lump" on one of his lungs.

july 16 is the day we buried him.

you do the math.

right now i just want a daddy hug. i want to feel his arm around my shoulder and hear him say "i love my kid."

i'm never gonna hear that again.

mom and i just spent about two hours going through boxes of dad's stuff.

laughed a lot.

cried a little.

i had 23 years with him in my life. that wasn't enough. mom had 33 years with him in her life. that wasn't enough, either.

but we had it. and we really do cherish it.

neither of us are getting better.

insanity at denny's at midnight, leading to a night filled with vodka, mountain dew, and ZIM.

for having no life, i've had some interesting weekends lately.
