W-what. I wonder if this has something to do with Shiouji getting her a birthday present, and some hopeful misunderstanding on Umi's part?

The problem with that is the birthday thing happened... in volume 17? And this stuff is from the YKO so vol 21, at least, so it seems a long way away from that.

I think some of it must have to do with... like... Shiouji finally getting a reasonable night's sleep in a bed for the first time in what, YEARS? IDK

Okay. So Umi's trying to leave, and she's like, "I've done all my work so I'm going home Professor! :D;;"

As far as I can tell, he's being nice to her for the first couple of pages in a typical Rikdo fakeout, and then he's like, "I'm not mad at you yet, and logically, if I'm not mad at you yet, you haven't told me what you did, so confess."

So Umi confesses a couple things like how she broke the teapot, and he's like, "No, I'm still not mad yet. What was your FATAL MISTAKE of the evening?"

As soon as she confesses that she lost Nikishiwata, he whips out his cell phone and starts ignoring her. :D :D :D
