gouging eyes out gives me mental imagery of johnny in once upon a time in mexico with the blood down his face, and i realise this possibly isn't the most relevant and/or comforting thing for me to be saying right now but it's the sort of thing i do say and uh. yeah.

and you're right, you probably never will be prepared for them. but you have to try to be. goodluck and all that stuff.
