oh so can i pick your brain about downtown since i spend the majority of my time there these days?

there's still much to be learned about downtown LA; i hardly consider myself an expert. i thought you worked out of NY?

in LA at least until the end of the month. likely to stay longer. the goal is to be in both. i don't know a darned thing about LA not to mentioned not knowing people here.

I used to think LA was a sprawling wasteland as well (I still do, to a certain extent). But you're right about downtown. When I was working at the district court for C and N, we got to see a lot of the buildings you show in this post. Did you hear that they had to sand down the Disney concert hall because people were complaining that the sunlight caused too much reflection in the day?

no, i didn't know that about the disney concert hall! it still looks pretty shiny to me though.

i didn't get picked. but i had to show up for 3 days in case they picked me. it basically sucked.
