If it was not meant for her to read it then why did you put it online where anyone can see it. In my opinion you brought it on yourself, you made yourself look like the "idiot", and put yourself in the awkward situation.

you are right in a way. i see in retrospect that i perhaps should have put security on that entry--it never occurred to me that someone who shouldnt have seen this entry would by chance go through all the necessary steps it would take to find this journal and read the entry. not only was i wrong, but the whole thing took mere hours. apparently my lj had more "silent readers" than i thought.
no matter--the situation has been remedied and the mistakes corrected for the future. i can only hope that the other party has learned something from this as well
