I LOVE the NFL Payoffs! They are usually some of the best football games of the year. There were two games today. The first featured the NY Jets and Bengals, in Cincinnati. Last night was the BCS National Division I College Football Championship game between Texas and Alabama. Texas jumped out to a 6-0 lead and then lost their quarterback, Colt McCoy, to a shoulder injury. Things began to unravel after that as the backup was ineffective. This past weekend, my piano and organ teacher from high school, Dan Labar, came to town for the Lions game. They were playing the Chicago Bears, his favorite team as he grew up in Chicago, and the tickets were cheaper here than in Chicago. We got tickets for $75 each and the price was $250 each in Chicago! It has been a tradition that my father and I always go to the finals of this Tournament here in Binghamton that brings in the best high school basketball teams from all over the country.
