**

She waits for him to leave and the door to be closed once more before stepping forward to take a seat across from her brothers with a confidence that she does not truly feel. She smoothes her skirts down, trying to compose her thoughts so that she might find the right words.

“Are you mad, Sansa?” Robb asks her with no preamble, his frustration ( Read more... )

It is amazing how they were able to convince Robb; times were so different then after all... You conveyed extremely well the conviction they had that they will rather leave than be separated, very very convincing indeed!

"May Talisa’s child be a son.” Ha ha, thoughts of many a father I'm sure!! -:)

Originally I'd planned to have Robb refuse them and for them to elope, but somewhere along the way I began to feel that he'd be more reasonable than that. Glad it turned out convincingly :)

Oh Arya is always a favourite to write because she's never afraid to say what's on her mind :) If Jon hadn't been there then it might have had a very different outcome though! Answers to many things coming up, though not the marriage just yet :) Almost down to the finale!

Thanks so much hon :) I thought that after the way their characters had developed, and the redemption paths, it would be a shame to have them estranged from the family. It's been a long journey for them to reach this point, a long journey for Sandor in particular, and it would be good for them to have that measure of happiness - the acceptance of her family :)

I like that this is a discussion between siblings. Although they are talking to the king, they're not afraid to make their feelings known or raise their voices. So glad Rob doesn't just end it with a "no and that's final"
Btw your writing is excellent and engaging and i'm loving this story.

Robb would never get away with that with his sisters, Arya in particular ;) He might be king but he knows that he was their brother first and he does want them to be happy.

Thank you so much and I'm very glad you're enjoying it :)

While I really loved the ending and the lovely way you brought us to it I admit my favorite scene by far has to be the sight of the Wolves and the Hound baring their teeth and showing their claws. Each tot heir own and how ironically it is our soft-spoken Sansa who turns the tide. Reminds me of the Babylon 5 quote how it is hte quiet ones who change the world. Its nice to see that it is Sansa who breaks through the threats and the bluster to politely state that she harbours no ill will but that this is the path she must follow ( ... )

I love that quote and it's so true :) Sansa's power has always been through her words and her tact and diplomacy and she was very much needed to turn the tide in their favour. Sandor, for all his love and determination, could make his conviction known but would not be able to find the right words to convince her brother.

It would have turned out far differently though if Jon was not there I think, he does play a deciding role in Robb finding a way to allow them to be married. And I love your headcanon, would be awesome if we could find that out about him :)
