Poor Jon, always an outsider when he was a Stark, only to be finally given a name and realise that he doesn't belong there either! I know that quite a few people do ship Jon/Dany, but considering that they both have such incredibly strong personalities I wonder whether they'd got on well enough to sustain a relationship!

Glad you enjoyed it :D

Beautiful! There are some dark undercurrents here that are explored really well. For Jon to find out that the only parent he had was not in fact his father would be heart breaking for him and Arya's path is horrifying not badass or cool. These are really sensitively handled here and I like that the resilience if their characters is shown at the end.
A pinch of SanSan is always nice, I'd love to know what they were speaking about in low voices by their horses : )

Jon really did worship Ned, must have always craved for a sign of approval from him, to know that he truly thought of him as his son. To have that taken away from him, even when he's legitimised, it has to have an effect...

I've always worried about how Arya will cope now, especially after her time with the Faceless Men. She's had to deal with so very, very much at such a young age and now they're trying to take away her personality. I think she'll fight it, but it has to have some effect on her.

Hehe, well most likely making googly eyes at each other while not saying much at all ;)

Honestly; I had tears in my eyes by the time Nymeria showed up. So beautiful!

Also love how it can be mothers strong blood determining person's true self, not only father's name and heritage.

And Jon's surprise at seeing Sandor with the girls - priceless!!

Thank you so much!

I know that Westeros is a patriarchal society, but life and genetics don't always work that way. Jon favours the Starks not only in looks but in behaviour as well, he's truly his mother's son (though with a stronger focus on duty and honour due to his uncle Ned!). Like Jon Arryn I would say, uh, the egg is strong? ;)

Its nice to see a tale where Jon remains true to himself and doesn't become lost to the games of power and false adoration. He may be a dragon but at the heart of it he's still a wolf ( ... )

I think Jon would hate the power games and politics of King's Landing. He would be a good ruler and make sure that the people were taken care of, but he's far too much like Ned and the Starks - straight forward and saying what he means. He wouldn't last long in an environment like KL, or he wouldn't be happy if he did.

I so so hope that Arya will someday see Nymeria again. I have a feeling that it would be a huge turning point in the story if she was to encounter either Sansa or Arya, and I only hope it can happen.

Ah, Dany. You see quite a bit of her right royal arrogance come out in the later books, when she's thrown off her brother's shadow and is used to having people obey her once more. It's a pity, because she's intelligent and brave and strong, but she does have a sense of entitlement based upon her heritage.

And posted, it has been! Thank you for the poke :D
