OOC: Brave Vesperia, Meetings, and Roster
In Tales of Vesperia, every guild has a purpose and/or official job of some sort. Fortune's Market handles the selling and distribution of goods, The Dark Wings are a thieves guild, The Blood Alliance is a sort of like a goons-for-hire guild, Leviathan's Claw is a weapons distribution guild ... so on ect. Brave Vesperia's "purpose" is "to do justice and punish the unjust", which makes them very unclear when it comes to exactly what they do.
However, in-game, they do things like deliveries, tracking people, obtaining rare items in dangerous places, and organizing messy warehouses. They're pretty much a "jack of all trades" type of guild, and they'll do just about whatever job they're hired for, as long as it's for a just cause -- and they're not afraid to jump through hoops to get a job done. If it's a job not for a just cause and they find this out too late (Ex. Aiding a noblewoman who was using them to support a terrorist group), then they'll still complete the task assigned to them, but don't expect them to let you hire them out ever again.
In Luceti, they do several things. First and foremost, they take on any job people wish to give them. This includes:
- Looking for lost items/delivering an item to someone who may be far away (for example, someone from the village wants to give something to someone who is currently camping deep in the woods; Brave Vesperia could be hired out to make the delivery for that person).
- Escorts/Guard work (for example, if someone wanted a bodyguard or escort through an area that hasn't been fully explored yet, or might possibly be dangerous, they could hire Brave Vesperia for that).
- Building structures or objects (this is something they are hired for most often, having built the recreation center, a boat, a stable, and several other things).
- Information gathering (this has been requested once, and is only ever accepted if the reasons for it aren't shady or if someone's safety may be on the line).
They also serve as back-up for the Blue Rogues, should they ever need it. Also, just to note, they can be hired for things not listed here. Feel free to comment here and I'll let you know whether the guild would take on that sort of job. You can also comment on the job request page ICly and have your character talk it out with Yuri if you'd feel more comfortable going that route.
As far as "payment" goes for jobs, all work Brave Vesperia does is for free at the moment. Yuri may or may not change this for certain cases (ones that he feels may endanger guild members, for example), but for the most part, the guild does work for the sake of doing work.
There are three types of meetings that go on for Brave Vesperia: General Updating, Emergency Planning, and Hangout. Considering how Yuri is, the third is the most likely to happen. Anyway, here's more info on that stuff and the like.
General Updating: These are meetings that update all of Brave Vesperia on any changes to the guild (new members, whether they've been hired out by anyone, whatever) or where new ideas are presented (either by Yuri or guildmates) and discussed. Unless an idea is being presented, this type of meeting will more than likely be assumed. This meeting type usually takes place on the 30th (or 28th/29th, stupid February), to get everyone updated and ready after/before hectic things happen.
Emergency Planning: These will actually be posted, and will usually be during situations that affect the village as a whole. Generally, Yuri will tell everyone to head to the barracks, and a sort of "game plan" will be discussed. Usually, though, Yuri will simply tell everyone what's happening and what's expected of the guild over the journal, but if it's a situation best said in person, this is the sort of meeting it'll be.
Hangout: Basically, everyone meets up to just ... chill for an hour or two. One big ol' face-to-face check-in. Members can talk amongst themselves, or if someone has an idea, it can be brought to Yuri there. Mostly, it's just so the guild is more of a guild and less of a group of people who may or may not know each other but stand under the same banner. These will likely happen the most, and usually on the 15th. It can happen on the 30th as well, if there's nothing to update the guild on, or very little. These will only be posted very seldom. I will try to put these kinds of posts up once in a while, but too much happens in Luceti for it to happen every month. Most times, if I put this up, it will be after a non-interactive recruitment post, so interested persons can ask to join while the rest of the guild interacts.
However, it can be assumed that all members of Brave Vesperia would at least recognize each other, if not know each others names. When a new member joins BV, please remember to wait until either the 16th or 31st (or 1st of the next month, depends on the amount of days) before assuming your character knows them by name. If for any reason you want a meeting on a certain day to be played out, please PM me at least a week before.
