Christmas at Cair Paravel was, as always, a magnificently festive affair.  Eight years of Pevensie rule hadn't stilled all the fears that came at the beginning of winter, and so perhaps unsurprisingly Narnians pulled all the stops out when celebrating the holiday that had been banned for a hundred years.

Edmund wouldn't admit that he'd loosened his belt, but it was certainly a notch broader than it had been this morning. He leaned back in his chair, wine loosely in his hand as he relaxed and watched.

Willow sat on a couch and nibbled on a wee cake. She tried to enjoy the moments when she could do that and not have to worry about juggling a baby in one hand and food in the other.

"I thought it went well?" Willow offered. "I mean we can actually see Alex amongst all the toys, so that's probably good odds of him not being too spoiled, right?"

"He's a Prince of Narnia," Peter replied with a grin. "It's not possible he'll end up spoiled."

Which was probably wrong, but at least the fight training would probably beat it out of him.
